Care: Spoilers.
There is a word that describes the fifth Damages chapter: tension. Tension between Patty and Ellen, tension between Patty and Ultima National Resources and tension between Purcell and UNR also.
And we continue with the maxim of which in the series you cannot rely on anybody. Ellen already says it, “right now only I trust in myself”. And the fact is that up to Wes, which was seeming to be a new friend in whom it might support, it is spying on it. We do not know yet for whom, but it must not walk far from Patty.
It was me who was already saying that Patty seemed too trusting. “It cannot be that he does not suspect in Ellen”, he was thinking while it saw the chapter. And if she is too busy with that thing about UNR, there his aged friend is to have all low control. Less evil that Parsons goes out of the step it being invented that the FBI has contacted with her.
As for that thing about Purcell, I do not understand this man. If it is clear that the murder of his wife knew that thing about in advance: why does it go of victim, accidentally to interfere completely in UNR? Perhaps he was thinking that his amiguitos just would give an attention touch to his wife, and all so satisfied ones?
Waiting to the following chapter, I remain with the best scene of this one: when Patty orders Ellen to continue it to his office, he throws the row, and demonstrates who keeps on being in charge between two o’clock.
